The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has entered into Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with four eminent Delhi schools — Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Modern School, Guru Harkrishan Public School, and St Thomas’ Girls Senior Secondary School — to create collaborative learning centres. This effort aligns with NDMC’s expansive Viksit Bharat initiative, which aspires to foster comprehensive growth for both students and educators through shared learning and exchange activities spanning various educational disciplines.
According to the agreements, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya will concentrate on environmental awareness, creative arts, and foundational mathematics for primary-level students. Modern School will spearhead teacher development in play-based teaching methods and English language skills, along with leadership training and inclusive sports and cultural events for children with special needs (CWSN).
St Thomas’ Girls Senior Secondary School will advance inclusive and project-driven learning models, whereas Guru Harkrishan Public School will contribute through joint efforts in music, athletics, Punjabi language instruction, and cultural engagements.
NDMC’s Director of Education, Kritika Chaudhary, termed the alliance a landmark initiative aimed at narrowing educational disparities and equipping students with essential 21st-century competencies. NDMC Chairman Keshav Chandra highlighted that such partnerships reaffirm NDMC’s dedication to educational transformation by leveraging the strengths and expertise of these well-established institutions.
