As the BJP-led Delhi Government approaches its 100-day milestone on May 30, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday launched a sharp critique of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s administration, accusing it of dismantling public welfare initiatives, deteriorating essential services, and reneging on its electoral commitments. During a joint press conference, Delhi Assembly Leader of Opposition Atishi, AAP Delhi state president Saurabh Bharadwaj, and MLAs Sanjeev Jha and Kuldeep Kumar unveiled a 15-point “performance report” on the government’s tenure so far.

“This isn’t governance — it’s a betrayal,” said Atishi. “In just 100 days, they’ve undone systems that functioned efficiently for a decade. From electricity and water supply to education and healthcare — everything has been disrupted,” she asserted.

Taking to ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia remarked, “In only 100 days, the BJP has crushed the aspirations of Delhi’s citizens.”

According to the report card, key issues include a 7 to 15 percent increase in electricity tariffs, recurring power failures, shutting down of mohalla clinics, resurgence of the tanker mafia, and fee hikes in private schools. It also pointed out unfulfilled promises from the BJP’s election campaign, including a monthly ₹2,500 allowance for women and subsidised LPG cylinders at ₹500.

“In many neighborhoods, tap water is contaminated with sewage,” Atishi said, linking it to a spike in gastrointestinal diseases. She also condemned the discontinuation of the mohalla clinics and the Farishte scheme. “Thousands of workers are losing jobs, diagnostic services have been halted, and accident victims are no longer receiving prompt care,” she added.

Atishi further criticized the removal of portraits of Babasaheb Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh from government offices and highlighted the cancellation of pensions for 25,000 widows.

Bharadwaj accused the Chief Minister of misleading the public. “Rekha Gupta claimed no one would be laid off, yet mohalla clinic employees are receiving termination notices,” he said. He also alleged that the BJP was merely rebranding AAP’s bus services and making misleading statements about audits of private schools.

AAP leaders concluded by stating they would take this “report card” to households across Delhi, ensuring the public is made aware of the government’s performance.
