Panic has gripped the residents of Adampur following two robbery incidents reported within just two days. In the first case, a young man responsible for daily cash collections for a private firm was robbed of ₹20,000 and assaulted with a sharp weapon. In a second, more alarming incident today, another youth employed with Flipkart was attacked and robbed of ₹1.5 lakh. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. on Shivpuri Road in Adampur.

Today’s victim, Manpreet Singh (25), a resident of Duhre village, said he was collecting payments for Flipkart when two masked individuals on a motorcycle intercepted him and assaulted him with a dagger. “They snatched ₹1.5 lakh from me and fired a shot into the air before fleeing,” he recounted. The police have initiated an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage to trace the perpetrators.

In the earlier case, two assailants on a motorbike similarly threatened the victim with a dagger. Ajay Sharma, a resident of Adampur, said he was on duty when the attackers robbed him of ₹20,000 and escaped. Concerned by the back-to-back crimes, local residents have urged the police and civil authorities to take swift and decisive action to prevent further such incidents.
