Moderate to intense rainfall accompanied by lightning and thundershowers is expected in the national capital on Wednesday night, according to the meteorological authorities. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has placed an orange warning for rainfall in the city. The relative moisture level at 8:30 am stood at 82 percent.
Delhi’s lowest temperature was recorded at 28°C, which is 0.5 degrees above average, as per the weather bureau.
The day’s peak temperature is anticipated to reach 36°C, the IMD stated.
The department also forecast thunderstorms with lightning, moderate to heavy precipitation, and strong winds blowing at speeds between 40 to 50 km/h during the night.
The air quality remained in the ‘satisfactory‘
range, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 80 at 9 am. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), an AQI between 0–50 is termed ‘good‘, 51–100 ‘satisfactory‘, 101–200 ‘moderate‘, 201–300 ‘poor‘, 301–400 ‘very poor‘, and 401–500 ‘severe‘.
