Aditya Birla Group to Invest ₹1,000 Crore in Paint Manufacturing Unit at Ludhiana’s Hi-Tech Cycle Valley

The upcoming hi-tech cycle valley in Dhanansu village, Ludhiana district, has attracted another major investment, the government confirmed on Monday.

The Aditya Birla Group will establish a state-of-the-art paint manufacturing unit with an investment of ₹1,000 crore, creating over 2,000 jobs, including direct employment for 600 individuals, a senior official announced.

This marks the second significant investment in the cycle valley, following Hero Cycles’ anchor unit spread over 100 acres, valued at ₹400 crore. Hero’s facility is expected to generate 1,000 direct jobs and produce 4 million bicycles annually, with a focus on premium models and e-bikes.

Sharing further details, Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla, who was recently allotted 61 acres of land worth ₹147 crore in the hi-tech valley by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, told The Tribune
