A case has been registered against three individuals, including a man who allegedly remarried without disclosing his existing marriage and used caste-based slurs against the complainant.

An FIR was lodged at the Kapurthala police station based on a complaint filed by Kamaljeet Kaur, the wife of Munish Bawa, a resident of Begowal.

In her statement to the police, Kamaljeet alleged that Munish Bawa, despite already being married, deceitfully entered into a second marriage with her without revealing his marital status. She also accused Munish, along with his father Ashwani Kumar and his mother Kusum Bawa, of making derogatory remarks about her caste.

Acting on her complaint, the police registered a case against Munish Bawa, Ashwani Kumar, and Kusum Bawa, all residents of Begowal. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
